Update:
My grandmother is fine. No infection, but the cast was put on too tightly on Friday after her surgery, and her arm swelled up. The doctor said it was probably because she hasn’t been keeping her arm elevated; that’s a little difficult for a 73-year-old woman developing Alzheimer’s to remember all the time, but whatever. All is good! Thanks for the prayers.
A couple months ago, my grandmother fell and broke her arm. On Friday she had surgery, in which they had to re-break her arm and put in plates and screws. My grandfather calls this morning to say that her arm is probably infected and they are going to the hospital ASAP.
